Q&A Comfort Advise

Airworks Kalispell Customer Service Team

Q: I was at your Kalispell office and it seems a busy place on a hot afternoon. Doesn’t dealing with all those problem calls get a little old?

A: No, never, ok well once there was that afternoon…Every once in a while, the heat of the pavement, the lava hot air, the steaming city (I hope you are not talking about Kalispell), and the desperation of its overheated populace create the perfect storm. The calls keep coming and how wonderful it is that you trust us to help solve your comfort problems, however sometimes it gets a little crazy. There are really no limitations that I have discovered in the questions posed in sometimes a constant string of inquiries.
Some are standard, some are serious, and some are just silly. My cooling will not come on. My cooling won’t turn off. Water is pouring out, help! No water is pouring out, should water be pouring out? It runs too long, or it doesn’t run enough. My unit sounds funny, how funny? Should there be smoke coming out? If so, how much smoke? Is it OK if my dogs use your A/C unit as a fire hydrant, NO! Can the unit stay out in the rain? Should you ever maintenance our A/C, yes annually. Do you think we are out of Freon? Do they still make Freon? How much ice should be on the outside unit, none. Can I damage my unit with a weed-eater? Yes. How long do units last? Is it OK to put potted plants on top of the unit? How much room do I need around my unit? And the questions continue and that’s just the outdoor unit.
How low can I turn the thermostat? Does my air conditioner have filters? Why is my filter getting so dirty, my house isn’t, ok sure. My cat is missing, could it be in the ducting? Can I run my fan all the time? Should I run my fan all the time? Why is it freezing downstairs and cooking upstairs? Do you take credit cards? Yes, we are not Mooses Saloon. How may registers can I close? Does it affect performance? Will it void my warranty? Does it really save energy? What kind of filter is best? Does your company install air conditioners? Yes, occasionally. What are these tax credits all about? What kind of air conditioner do you have? Will you fix my window unit? How much does an air conditioner weigh? Can you put an air conditioner on my roof? No, well maybe for enough money. Do you trade air conditioners for goats or farm machinery? After nearly forty years of answering heating and cooling questions it sometimes gets a little weird, but what kind of goats do you have?

The bottom line is this; we are here to help you out and if there are a few odd questions thrown in the mix, well we answer as best we know how, honestly. We would like to think we have been providing somewhat of a public service just dolling out interesting answers free of charge but we know for a fact what comes around goes around. Many folks have done business with us because we were good enough to pick up the phone at two in the morning. Others because we have been the ones to call for decades and never did them wrong.

Others just got lucky and called (406) 257-1341. So, give AirWorks a call with your silly or otherwise questions and perhaps we can trade some sheep?
