Very honest and upfront. Bill was awesome! First he talked us through getting our heater started. Then, when it died again the next day, a Sunday, he came out and fixed it! Very honest and upfront about charges which we greatly appreciate.

Our heat stopped working. Airworks was responsive and easy to get a hold of. They came out the next business day and were able to quickly order the parts that were needed. When parts were available they prioritized fixing our system. The technician was courteous and professional. I would use them again.

The Importance of Winter HVAC Maintenance Inspections

Nobody wants to spend winter with a malfunctioning HVAC system. So as the winter season continues, make it a point to perform a thorough inspection. Airworks Inc. shares with you the benefits of winter HVAC inspections and the things you should look into before calling for HVAC repair and maintenance.

The Importance of Winter HVAC Maintenance Inspections

Why You Should Inspect Your HVAC System

Regular inspections help keep your HVAC system in good condition at all times. Being able to address issues before they turn into bigger problems can help you save on costlier repairs. Combined with properly insulated exterior walls and attic, as well as energy-efficient windows, doors and skylights, you can expect energy savings when you have an efficient HVAC system.

Most importantly, a well-maintained HVAC system also gives you the confidence knowing that it will reliably heat your home during cold days, and air condition your interior during hot days. Pre-winter inspections help ensure that it will be working before the winter cold sets in.

How to Inspect Your HVAC System

Note that you are not expected to perform repairs to your HVAC system yourself. When you do find problems that require repairs or replacement, call a certified HVAC technician at Airworks Inc. Start your inspection with the air filters, grilles and registers and make sure they are not covered with dust and dirt. Clean or replace the filters. Make sure the grilles and registers are unobstructed to allow proper airflow.

Next, check if your thermostat is working. Replace the batteries, clean the metal contacts and conduct further troubleshooting as instructed by the user guide. Once you get it working, turn the HVAC system on and make sure it’s set to heating. Wait a few minutes and check if the registers are blowing warm air. If not, set the temperature a few degrees higher. Once you feel warm air from the registers, turn it back to your ideal heating temperature. If it’s still not blowing hot air, have a professional inspect your HVAC system before winter sets in.
